Case Competition


2019 OHDCC CASE COMPETITION

 

 

The Organization and Human Development Consulting Club (OHDCC) at Teachers College, Columbia University is delighted to announce their Annual Consulting Case Competition to be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Teachers College Columbia University. This is a great opportunity for students to develop and present solutions to a real-world Human Capital challenge. Selected teams will submit a team proposal for the challenge for first round, and finalists will participate in the final presentation on April 27. The finalists will compete for an exciting gift hamper worth $500 and recognition, and all participants will have the opportunity to network with professional consultants from various organizations.

Eligibility:

  • Each team can have 4 to 5 members
  • All majors are welcome but at least one team member must be pursuing a degree in I/O Psychology or related fields (e.g. Organizational Behavior, Human Resources, Leadership)
  • All team members must be a recent graduate (up to a year) OR currently enrolled in a school
  • At least two members must be graduate students
  • Business background or consulting experience are not required

Important Dates:

  • Registration Deadline: Monday, March 18
  • 1st Round Application Deadline: Wednesday, March 27
  • Shortlisted Teams Announcement: Monday, April 8
  • Case Preparation Workshop for selected participants: 3rd week of April (TBD)
  • Final Case Competition Day: Saturday, April 27

This is a great opportunity for students to develop and present solutions to an real-world Human Capital challenge. Selected teams will submit a team proposal for the challenge for first round, and finalists will participate in the final presentation on May 13. The finalists will compete for $500 cash prize and recognition, and all participants will have the opportunity to network with professional consultants from various organizations.

Timeline:

Application Process Deadline
Team application deadline April 20th, 2017
Case distributed to teams April 23rd, 2017
Team proposals submitted for review April 30th, 2017
Finalist teams notified for final presentation May 8th, 2017
Final Presentation May 13th, 2017

Note: All materials should be submitted by 5 pm EST on corresponding dates.
